Cancel Certificate Status Registry entry
Specifies that certificates which have already been issued for a record are flagged as canceled once a maintenance has been applied to the record.
When set, this entry flags certificates which have already been issued for a record as canceled once a maintenance has been applied to the record. For instance, if this entry is defined and a change of name is applied, the status of all certificates issued in the old name will be set to Canceled
(it could be set to anything, but Canceled
is the most useful descriptor). This flag is relevant for Certificate Validation Service / System (CVS) requests. When a CVS request comes in, the status of the stock is checked before a response is given. If the status shows as Canceled
, a Failed
response is returned.
